Welcome to A Knead for Bread, where I share my favorite original recipes, all tested and perfected in my own kitchen. While bread is my true passion (can anything beat the smell of a fresh loaf?), you’ll also find comforting desserts, cozy meal ideas, and a few vegan surprises thrown in for good measure.

Cooking homemade meals and baking from scratch doesn’t have to be complicated. There’s something magical about creating food with your own two hands—especially when you get to share it with the people you love.

Whether you’re a seasoned home cook or just starting to experiment with yeast and flour, you’re in the right place!

What I’m all about

The kitchen can feel intimidating at first, but I’m here to show you it doesn’t have to be.

While baking bread is my true passion, I also love creating unique desserts and easy, cozy meals. Even more than that, I LOVE teaching people how simple and satisfying it can be to make these things from scratch.

I grew up cooking primarily alongside my mom and paternal grandma. They each had their own style, their own family recipes, and countless clever ways to stretch ingredients—turning one meal into several different and equally satisfying meals. As a full-blown adult foodie, I’ve kept those habits close. These days, I’m proudly in the “There’s food at home” camp.

Over the years, I’ve sold my baked goods—homemade breads, jams, pickles, and more—around town. But more than selling food, I’ve found real joy in teaching others how easy it can be to whip things up yourself, even with minimal time, equipment, or effort involved.

I’ve also been a craft bartender for over 15 years. The world of cocktail development is all about combining technique and skill with unique yet familiar flavors. We spend a lot of time developing recipes that play on different parts of your palate: salty, sour, sweet, bitter, umami. These same concepts apply to the kitchen. Once you have the basic techniques down, it’s all about figuring out flavors and textures that play well together for YOUR palate. So, when a recipe is loved by a lot of different people – it’s the ultimate satisfaction. We want to make it over and over again and share it with others. That’s the beauty of food. At AKFB, I can teach you how to get in the kitchen and get cooking…Because, there’s food at home!

I can’t wait to share my favorite creations with you and help you feel confident in the kitchen. Whether you’re a seasoned cook or just starting to find your way, I’ll help you throw down like a pro.
